I know this is sacriledgious, but I'm tossing out the Bigelows 'Constant Comment' tea in my PSK and in my hotel cook kit for a new brew.

In my travels over the last month or so, I have been trying a different tea; Bigelows 'Green Tea with Pomegranate'. Two bags brewed in a large mug with a dash of Splenda looks and tastes almost like hot cherry juice. Chide me all you want for breaking tradition, but it's "goodbye orange peels" for this guy!

I have no connection to Bigelows tea bags, except for the little string.

Quelle Horreur!! Are you prepared to suffer the consequences of this drastic, reckless action? Constant Comment is cited as a vital factor is 84.7% of successful survival episodes, unlike "Green Tea with Pomegranate'" which has a totally unproven track record.

DW is fretting, because CC was on special last week and I laid in my winters supply like cordwood, clogging the pantry.

Hmm, tastes like cherry juice? what is it like with real sugar? Is it available in SoCal? Guess I will have to see..Please post in the springtime and let us know if you survived with GTWP. If it can get you through a Minnesota winter, it just might work down here....

Love the taste of CC, Pike Place Market tea, the ice tea at Altus in East Lansing and others with orange peel - but it doesn't agree with my stomach. As much as an interesting flavor is nice, I'll stick to black tea in my brew kit. A tea bag can also help staunch bleeding and relieve tooth ache and sunburn pain.

Old fashioned, but tea bags and plain old aspirin have many uses for the space they take.

I'm living dangerously, I know. Here is a link to order if your grocery store doesn't stock it:

www.bigelowtea.com/

I don't know how it tastes with real sugar, as I don't use that substance much. I rarely use Splenda either. I get what little sugar I consume from raw fruit. It will be a slow transition, as I have a cup of Bigelow CC Green in front of me now.
