The pliers are a good shape. Can I get them in to all of the smallest areas that an original PST's pliers can get into? Not quite. But they do work well for me for a variety of tasks.

My preference is to have each tool come out individually, but it's never been too hard for me to get the right tool out when I need it with the ST300. You're kidding yourself if you think you can do it with gloves on. The locking mechanism works well for me but you have to hold the tool in a way that keeps pressure off of the latch.

If I had to choose only one multitool, it would be a Wave. Having a Wave (well, two Waves) I use the ST300 frequently, most often in situations where weight isn't a factor.

Note that I never carry the ST300 unless I'm also carrying a lockback knife. While the knife blades on an ST300 are quite usable they're slow to deploy.
