I have a $20 one-time coupon code for Cabela's good for any order over $100 used before 1/10/2011. First one to PM me gets it.
Merry Christmas.

If you have something to pass along to your fellow enthusiast please do so.

That's kind of you.

Doubtful that the coupon code is specific to your postcard. I got one, too. May as well go ahead and post it.

If I can find mine, I'll do likewise. But I may have tossed it.

Addendum -- I did find the postcard and you are wise to keep it to a PM. I wonder if the "Security Code" is specific to individuals and pulls up name and home address info as a catalogue number would. And then there's the nine-digit "Rebate Number" you have to submit.

REI uses a short simple code via e-mail and everyone gets the same code.

It's been awhile since I ordered anything from Cabela's, the sales on items I've been interested in just haven't warranted the shipping cost.

These packable waterproof rain parkas were on sale for $10 yesterday so I ordered a bunch of them to leave in various kits (PSK, golf bag, etc.)

Few people do it but generally all discounts are available if you ask for them. I've had luck calling or e-mailing customer service for the company I'm thinking of buying from and simply asking for the best discount they can offer.

If you are willing to go to the trouble of asking most companies are willing to make the effort worth your time to make the sale and gain a customer.

Bargaining, haggling, and asking for discounts isn't just for brick-and-mortar stores. Work those customer support people. Ask for their boss if they are unresponsive. Be polite and upbeat but get the discount/s. Discounts because a retailer may offer a discount and the manufacturer another. Remember that mark-up are typically 50% to 80% of the asking price.
