I'd be overbudget with (1) bag of Celox or (2) Israeli bandage and roll of Kerlix and Asherman chest seal

assuming a metal or Nalgene water bottle of approx 1L... if not a couple of "dog doo" / breast milk/MRE heater/zip loc bag to hold water

3+ mil 55gal drum liner
whistle
mirror from ladies compact/3inch mini CD
bandana
tincture iodine or betadine for cuts and water purification
full size Bic lighter with protected activator lever
waterproof matches with paraffin impregnated corrougated cardboard flame booster
duck tape long enough to go around you
heavy duty needles (magnetized and indicated for north)/safety pins
tweezers
individual packed aspirin/ibuprofen/tylenol/immodium
50' small diameter cordage
small generic LED pinch light

that about uses up the amount

Ten bucks.... Can you specify what you mean by "hunting gear".

For me, that means 2 water bottles, a small pack, pcord, saw or hatchet, spare vest for the deer to wear as it is carried out, 2 bags for guts (one for guts that were w/ poop, one w/o), camera, whistle, compass, map, brew kit, small FAK, and the PSK. And a buddy. It isn't as big as it sounds.

Edit: Oh, and lunch. Usually a 1200K life boat ration or two bars of halavah.

Edit Reason: forgot lunch

I know that you can get some decent knives for cheap, but I have never seen a whole kit for $10. I soggest if bulk isnt an issue,

A ITW Nexus Sea Whistle, they are bright and loud, and clip on clothing.

A knife with a 3" blade or longer, like this one.

A couple of zipLoc bags with the expandable bottoms, I can send you a couple.

A nalgene 1 Qt. bottle, it can hold all of this and it's definately waterproof!

A coulpe of Katadyn tabs.

A bandana, on your person, bright orange or red, I can send you an orange one.

Paracord, I carry 12' enough for most tasks, And some more essentials, I am too lazy to list but all can be acquired cheaply.
