Thanks for the review. But how and why is that a neck knife? Where's the neck sheath, lanyard, etc etc? While I like the antler handle (is that what it is?), to me a more ideal neck knife is flat enough so you can wear it under a T-shirt with little or no print-through. Just my personal preference, of course.

Hard to tell without seeing the sheath, but it kind of reminds me of the patch knife that backwoodsmen wore exposed around their necks in the black powder days.

i never did understand why a modern person would want a neck knife unless they were part of a reenactors group.i mean folks in the old days used them because they did not have belts or the clothes that used belts.

Maybe modern people want neck knives because they like them?

With the people I know, neck knives are valued for concealment, as a backup to belt knives, and for access by either hand.

California perspective... Fixed blades are legal here only if they're open carried. Unfortunately, a fixed blade carry on a belt is obtrusive and strange looking, just a fact of the culture here.

In contrast, the right neck knife can be open carried without making you look like Crocodile Dundee. With a neck knife, you could open carry while hiding the knife in plain site, totally legal. Again though, it would have to be the right neck knife. The knife in the original post may work for my idea, but it's hard to tell by pics alone.

The sheath is kydex with paracord for the lanyard.

I generally do not like stuff hanging around my neck, but I tried it out and it is quite comfortable. The knife is small and even though the antler handle is small, it is quite comfortable, both in the hand and wearing in the sheath around my neck.

Since I am not trying to conceal it, flatness isn't a concern. In use, I find the antler is probably more comfortable to use than a flat perhaps unfinished handle like some of the ones I have seen for sale.

Plus I intend to try the antler for flint knapping. In the sheath of course.

I was thinking it is small and unobtrusive. And ambidextrous. It would make a good pairing with a machete.

For me, access by either hand. I am also dabbling on adjusting it for wear like a baldric. That is more comfortable to me. But would limit the either hand access.
