I was Just wondering what kinda Comfort Items you guys put in your PSK's? Things that aren't really for survival but for morale boosting?

I include a pack of cigarettes... in my defense its also good tinder and tobacco has antiseptic properties. I've heard that if you swallow a pinch of tobacco its a useful treatment for intestinal parasites but that's just something i read from a book not sure if there's any truth to it.

Personal Survival Kit is too short term and small for comfort items. However, I'd consider an extra pair of wool sock liners comforting. My Personal Survival Kits are about eating, sleeping and walking. Anything that enhances those three functions is comforting.

Probably not the answer you're looking for.

Excellent call.
In a true survival situation that picture could be huge.
The will to survive trumps all equipment.

A couple tea bags and/or packets of bullion. A warm beverage makes a long, cold, sleepless, night seem just a bit shorter.

I was thinking pictures would be good. I didn't post because they're not in my bag right now. I guess when I'm not in survival mode, I don't think so much about how valuable comfort items are.
