I have been thinking about getting a supply of a few sizes of teflon-coated stainless steel wire, together with an assortment of hardware, crimping pliers, etcetera.
I thought I would assemble various gear keepers, fishing leaders, pre-snares [snares being illegal in CA], game keepers, etcetera.
Anybody out there into this already?
Thoughts?
Thanks.

One thing about "Fray-Proof",The cut ends, are Not fray-proof,& whether it be the beginning or the end, when working with this stuff,You will, have to deal with those "ends",lol! Be careful,I have a Tiny black-dot on my finger, that get's sensitive, once in awhile,That I have carried with me for years,Thanx to those cut "ends"!

Richlacal, good point. I am thinking about isolating such ends inside the stainless tubes sometimes crimped to join two pieces of wire.
What were you using the stuff, or at least encountering it, for?

I was using 4mm coated wire or cable actually,On a Commercial Property where it is used as a barrier of sorts,Between a Railing & A Deck,It actually looks real nice,& lasts a few years in Salty ocean air, before it starts to deteriorate.I've seen Endcaps that crimp-on,I think they could be found on-line,& cheap,I'm sure.I didn't use them myself,I used a Dremel grinder to clean cut the ends, for a finished product!

Various ham radio antennas. I live near the ocean, that stuff should be pretty good outdoors in salty air.
