You're welcome! The telescoping function is important to me because I'd like to carry this on bicycle outings and bicycle camping tours as well as while backpacking. Such a rod would be easy to carry in a bug-out bag, too, I suppose.

I'm likely to get one in the next month or two. I'll plan on giving a brief review here once I put it to use.

Thanks, Ponder.

Sabiki rods gave me this idea. Protects the line and allows a bell weight at the bottom with small lures / hooks. flies above to be pulled up inside the rod tip to protect them as well. But I have not found one long enough or telescoping.
