We had temperatures around -8C last night. A couple of weeks early for a killing frost, but so it goes. That pretty much does it for the garden. I hilled up the root veggies to insulate them from the cold, so they'll be fine until harvest.

How are your gardens faring?

Took down the garden hoses and drained the pipes. Covered the fishing boat, last mowing done, cut off all of the perennials, took down the birdbath, wrapped the apple tree......

we are expecting so much rain around Minneapolis that they blew up the Black Dog Power Plant trying to get it sealed up,locked down--something like that..the coal storage area blew out the wall and last i heard they are making makeshift repairs before the rain really hits--pouring out now.no problem with electric service however as they can make it up from other stations..

Well above average here, 90s (80 is avg) with no rain for the past 3 weeks, chance of rain on Sun/Mon/Tues with temps only in the 80s.

Fall? The leaves haven't started to turn yet, for the most part.
