every year one the neighborhoods here in South Minneapolis,Longfellow,holds a big corn roast to raise money for the local parks.my wife and i run the Mississippi River Gorge information table.this year the Longfellow Community Council gave away,among other things,these unused Army blankets.

I agree they are nice to have when it gets cold out in an emergency. Vehicle can get very cold very fast.

I love those blankets, although not great for bare skin. I found one at a yard sale for... $5, great deal, and got a Entrenching tool for the same price!

Not me. If there is a blanket giveaway, it's usually really poor quality fleece and small enough to use for a cat.
