is there any reason you don't carry a pocket tool on your person? Just asking (being a curious George) since most of use carry one. I saw you have one in your car.

I usually do, but every once in a while, having my SwissTool R/S or Leatherman Wave hanging from my belt simply gets to me.

That weight tries to pull my trousers down, and trying to get the tool oriented so I can sit in my car without inflicting spinal damage on myself is a pain in the butt.

What about adding a 1 litre nalgene wide mouth bottle to your blow out bag for water collection & carrying.

There is an ability to attach water filter like the Katadyn or MSR to the nalgene bottle if there is a need for it.

You're right, the Leatherman sure is handy. I guess I shy away from the bulk due to sitting in the car for extended periods. And at work carrying it (or the Spyderco) isn't a good option. Anyone know about the Leatherman Juice and the associated clear plastic belt holster? I wonder if that's easy to snap on and off the belt? Hmm...

The 1L (32oz) Nalgene bottle - good suggestion. With the spring water I guess I was thinking of something that would be sealed and not need a frequent change. The Nalgene bottle I carry with me probably should be in the pack, and instead carry the spring water bottles. Time to do a switch!

I carry mine in the same pocket as my wallet with no poutch. It is unnoticeable with Levis or slacks as my wallet holes my Leatherman Wave vertical.

Hey, that rocks, man. I did something similar to answer the endless questions from my friends and family, "What is all that stuff you carry around?"
