I've often wondered. Of the folks who have the foresight to carry a car window-breaking tool, like the ReqQMe or similar, how many loosely store in vehicle's center-console, under their seat or in the glove-box. In other words, where it would surely go flying out of reach or otherwise be inaccessible after an accident resulting in submersion.

It's always on my keyring along with a photon freedom. Good points though, that is the reason I replaced the Life Hammer with the Resqme, afraid the hammer would be hard to locate and that it might be difficult to swing it with enough force in an emergency situation.

Try adding a small whistle to that key ring and consider a tiny but watertight flashlight, instead of the Photon.

I picked up two of the spring loaded center punches at Harbor Freight for less than $4 each. One is banded to a 3 D cell MagLight (pretty good baton) with a section of bicycle inner tube, wedged between my seat and console... the other is in the ash tray
