If the bookswopping scheme starts to devolope more, what do you think about dedicating a seperate thread, or sub section in the canpfire forum, as Comanche suggested? It would be a lot easier to keep track of things rather than resurecting older threads.

I've got approximately 200 books on survival, mountaineering, outdoors, meteorology, first aid, military stuff (inc original manuals) etc etc. I'm not sending them across the pond, but if anyone from UK (ditch, ddraig?) or perhaps Europe (Frenchie, Max?) wants to borrow them I'll post if you'll post back (its a trust thing). If we get a separate thread I'll post the complete list (but it will take days to compile it!!). Cheers.

Just a thought that popped into mind, perhaps this could be a "sticky" thread that stays around the top of the Campfire?

Casual_Hero,

A generous offer. I understand about "about shipping across the pond". Sadly, it could become a bit of a nightmare regarding customs, tariffs, VAT etc., not to mention shipping & insurance which could make things prohibitively expen$ive.

200 books, wow... makes me kind of wish I lived on the east side of the pond. <img src="images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

I have sent a pm to comanche and hope to get a crack at those books. I will start another thread on the campfire titled "Book swapping" for us to manage this by. I will also post to that thread what books I have that are related. Certainly there are some I wouldn't want to be without but there are also many that I would gladly contribute to a round-robin library.

Anyone interested in writing reviews to go along with the books?
