The last place I put a fire extinguisher. If you think about it, we will be most likely taken by surprise by a fire in our home while we are sleeping. Cheap insurance to be able to get out of a burning home at night or be able to get to a child's room. Let the experts put the fire out, this just allows you to leave that much easier.

During a recent bathroom re-model I added a garden hose outlet with a new globe valve and a 25' nylon/cloth hose under the bathroom sink. The hose is folded accordian style, held together with heavey duty rubber bands, just enough to keep it out of the way. A quick 1/4 turn of the valve and the hose uncoils itself. Again, insurance to be able to get out of the house.

Skater,

Nice ideas, the hose under the sink parallels one of my installations, I added faucets in the pantry when installing a replacement water heater. The drain faucet on the heater is a bit awkward to access (only use it to drain sediment from the heater each year and it is made of plastic). I placed a new faucet on both the hot and cold lines. Now to do the bathrooms. Thanks for sharing.

Regards,
