And carry a decent dedicated folding saw. Redundancy. SAK is last call. Is a Sak your 1st choice of carry for a blade when going out? Then why should it be for the saw blade?



Yes it is. SwissChamp for E.D.C. Locking One Handed Trekker if I'm going away from civilisation.

In my experience, the locking SAK's are more than amply robust for most likely short term survival scenario's.

Saw blade because it makes shelter building much easier. All my kit recommendations are based around the presumption that one has lost every thing except what is either in one's pockets, or clipped to one's belt. As is the PSP+.

Obviously one would like to have more. Like a tent, axe, sleeping bag, water filter etc. But..... frown
