The guy from the Bizarre Foods show recently filmed an episode on a jungle island, and it's so bad it's funny.

that's all.

it was on teevee; no link.

the guy's show is normally about sampling exotic food from around the world. they did touch on a crucial point towards the end tough. he was on the beach and realized some of the local crustaceans are edible because he's eaten them before on an earlier episode: "and i thought i didn't bring anything to this party." once again, your brain is the best tool you can have with you.
that made me smile, but apart from that his efforts were largely cringe-worthy. his technique with the machete was particularly amusing, and his use of the mag block was as frustrating as ever.

i have to say, i found the instructor annoying. not his fault, and the advice seemed sound, but that gravely spaghetti western army sergeant thing he had going on with his voice was grating.
