Just FYI, I alread asked Blast reguarding this as I work for Home Depot. He said it was ok to post this as I am not the owner or actually making money directly off the sale of the item.

So here you go for the info reguardingthe AA Mini-Maglite. If the store in your area has them they were posted for $4.98 each I think, with local tax it was 5.35 or so out the door. Normal price is about 10-11 dollars for this package, had the flashlight, the open top belt pouch, 2 AA batteries, an extra clear plastic lense and the black rubber anti-roll atachment that holds the extra lense on.

I alread had 5 or 6 of this model with various LED lamp assemblies installed for longer run time (either the 1 watt or 3 bulb assemblies from Nite-Ize), or stock lamp and reflector in 2 of them. I grabbed another one in the red finish due to it being easy to spot when I drop them.

I do not know if you like these lights or not, for the price you could afford to get one check it out or give it to a friend you are trying to encourage in the disaster/emergency preparedness area.

Thanks for posting this. I have carried a AA black Mini-Mag for 30 years. Every day, all the time. I have swapped them out a few times because the finish was gone or the key ring hole wore out, but those are on the workbench now and they still work great. Very reliable in the long run.

Lowe's is advertising the LED 2xAA Minimag for $10 for Father's Day weekend.

I just saw the ones at Lowe's they also have 3D cell LED for 19.99 or so I rember exactly what the cents where.

I make a note to buy myself one or so each year and end up spending all extra cash on my father and fil and never have any left for myself until after the sale ends.
Sears usually had good deals on tools, they may make up a 13 (or whatever number) piece wrench or socket set in a fathers day specific package then after fathers day it will go on clearance for half price. Then they will make the same 13 (or whatever) pieces in packaging for the next holiday and it will go on clearance the same way. I made up my truck toolkit that way.
