If you've always wanted a Guyot Designs Stainless Steel Bottle, but thought they were a little too pricey, there is some good news if you have access to a Dick's Sporting Goods. Dick's is selling both the Nalgene by Guyot Designs Backpacker 32oz and Standard 38oz Stainless Steel Bottles for $12.99.

At least that's the case at the Dick's in Johnson City TN. When I asked the cashier if this was a the case at all of the stores across the country, she said that she didn't know.

It might be worth checking on if your interested in purchasing one for yourself or someone else.

On a sidenote, it appears as if Nalgene is now the distributer of Guyot Designs, so there's a Nalgene logo above the Guyot Designs on the bottles. I don't know if this was always the case. No Biggie.

Darn, I just picked one up at wholesale sports several weeks back and paid $25! That is a great buy.

Finally there appears to be suppliers for both the Wide mouth Klean Canteens and the Guyot Stainless bottles within the UK. I know that the Guyot stainless steel bottle opening is dimensioned for compatibility with the Naglenes bottles. I'm interested in obtaining 3 of the 64oz stainless steel bottles for a Tea, Coffee and Sugar Kitchen storage set and was wondering if the openings have the same dimensions which would cater for a wide kitchen tablespoon. I particularly dislike the clunky ceramic tea, coffee and sugar set I have at the moment. mad

The Klean Kanteen widemouths are made to fit filters that fit standard bottles. I think that's their way of giving the size without giving another brand name.

I have both the wide mouth kk and the guyot, like the guyot better as it holds 32 oz which would match up exactly with the micropur tabs and like the cordage lanyard system on it. The guyot also fits perfectly in my vehicle cup holders while the kk could tip in them.
