Earthquakes are caused by global warming causing expansion the Earth's crust. . . never mind we get earthquakes all the time. As Susan said, it's a matter of how big. My guess is that this latest string in Baja probably relieved stress on San Andreas and pushed the BIG ONE out a few more years -- hope so anyway.
