I must be a bit slow, I thought we called conditions like the "snow hurricane" by another name, you know, a blizzard?
I don't think it's unfair. Saying "blizzard" doesn't imply much in terms of wind risks: saying "hurricane-force winds" is much more specific in terms of preparations needed. There's over 4x the force involved..
