No problem. Just pay me a living wage while I come out there and research it! laugh laugh laugh

*sigh* That would be so awesome. I need to find an outragously rich, paranoid person who'll pay me to figure out all this stuff...

Would love to have you do that...unfortunately "rich" is not one of my redeaming characteristics. Was going to invite you up to WY while you were in Denver, but life got in the way. Anyway if you run across a book, video, cave etching, whatever - that tells good advise about this regions wild edibles, let me know.

Can do. With luck (good or bad, depending...) I'll be up in oil & gas fields in that part of the country once a year or so.

Look me up or shoot me a message, I'll treat for the dinner when you come up this way. Rantor lives here too and I know he would love to sit down at the same table and tell lies with us.

I have a friend that just graduated from college and one of the classes he took was botony - specific to this area. Not much on edibles but I will try to pick his brain non- the- less.

Bring the DW with and Rantor and I will bring ours... Be a good time for all. :o)

I minored in natural science in college, and we did study this topic and we actually went out on field trips to sample wild plant edibles. I learned that you can bread and deep fry almost anything and it tastes OK. It was fun, but I would hate to have to live on what's actually available in the woods in winter or spring. I wonder how many weight watcher points are in a handful of frozen goldenrod grubs?
