This is a survey I put together for a project I'm working on at my job.

It is a market research survey about Bison (a.k.a. Buffalo) meat.

If you have 4 minutes, and don't mind participating in these sort of things, I'd appreciate not only your input, but that of anyone else you know. We need a LOT of responses.

http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/bison

NOTE:
We are not collecting personally identifiable information in this survey, however, we will ask your gender, age and a few other questions at the end. If you don't like that, don't bother taking the survey. We are not collecting IP addresses.

Not to be picky - things have gender, not people.

And I did a lot of surveys in a previous life and had this fight about every time. While it seems to be more PC to ask gender, the more correct question is what sex are you.

I did your survey too.

I did it too. Recent summers in South Dakota have introduced me to buffalo meat, and I love the stuff.

How in the dickens do you send perishable meat through the mail?

I broke it.

The first question showed up but no others. "Have I tried buffalo meat" - Yes. Click.
Blank page.

I guess that wasn't the answer they wanted.

Done.

I was raised in South Dakota and always knew about and had the opportunity to eat bison. I remember reading old articles in magazines Grandpa had about ordering fresh bison from Custer State Park - that was from the early 60's. They used to also have a buffalo hunt each year at the park back in the 70's... I never went on one but they were popular.

Styrofoam box and dry ice.

It's fresher than almost any other meat you can buy - usually less than a few days off the hoof.

Nothing like grabbing a bison rib eye by the handle (when they french the rib and leave the steak attached to it, it is like something off the Flintstones). You can gnaw on that bone for a good half hour or better, and end up with a swollen belly. I like mine medium rare, thank you very much.

Done! Had a bison burger once or twice-I dont really recall the taste it was that long ago, but I do remember liking it smile. We have a bison farm about an hour from me, and many restaurants out there serve it. I am thinking I may make a trip out there this weekend now, lol. And, taking this survey during lunchtime is a BAD idea!

well, I did you survey - got to the end where it asks for a State... none applied, so left it blank. Did you want only US participation?

Hi Martin,

Survey Done. Sorry I could not fill in the "State" as I live in a Province.

I have a Bison farm about 10 miles from my home, I toured it with our youth group this year. Very interesting operation, low maintenance animals.

good luck

FYI, many years ago (1960's) you could occasionally find Bison meat in our local supermarkets here in the Washington D.C. area.

Did it. I do like bison meat, and it is hard to find where I live. Maybe we will try and order some.
