If you ever find yourself in a GET OUT situation and you dont have the freshest clothes in your BOB, you can easily freshe and soften them with a dryer sheet! (this is a very "common sense" tip, but i havent read anything about it so, here it is) what is your opinion? do you have another tip any of us would like to hear, even if you have already heard it, someone else might not have!

Just want to be careful to use an unscented dryer sheet otherwise you'll smell like the fake fresh scent they put in the scented ones. As I've gone more natural in eating and cleaning supplies I can now smell people who use the scented ones for miles so you loose any ability to hide if needed.

I would think you'd be better off with at least two sets of clothes**, make sure they are ALL synthetic so they dry quickly, and then rinse them in water - with a tiny amount of soap (I use a tiny bottle of camp soap).

**In cold weather synthetic long underwear plus shorts makes a good second set of clothes, though its not very fashionable - you kind of look like superman. Of course it also can keep you warm.

In summer, a synthetic t-shirt and shorts work OK as a second set.

Actually to my surprise, it doesnt work because, to prevent the dryer sheet from burning, they are made of synthetic polyester i think? can anyone confirm this? but they dont burn by a spark. you can light them with a lighter but they stink.

I don't understand. Are you suggesting using a clothes dryer and dryer sheet to freshen up the clothes you are wearing? What if there is no dryer available?

You just wipe the sheet over them.
You can also get small pack of baby wipes and wipe yourself, armpits and crotch area will make you feel somewhat clean from skipping a shower.

I would try baking soda to"freshen"clothing.Baking soda absorbs odors and perfumes try to hide or cover them.In a survival situation perfumes and scents can be bad. They can attract bees and other unwanted insects.Perfumes can also scare off potential game while hunting. And finally they may attract large predators that may want to hunt you.....

Just airing clothes by hanging them up where air can circulate around them will help, hanging them in the sun is even better. It works best if you hang them at the end of the day, rather than waiting until the next morning, five minutes before you're going out the door.
