i spend too much time here.the other night i had a dream about a new survival necktie, the kind you wear at the office, and it had knife sharping grit on the front.yellow at the end for visibility and you could put an edge on you knife without taking it off.in the dream there way no mention of cutting your throat in the process.--no joke--

I nearly began to watch the Youtube video, but stopped it about 5 seconds in after a little voice said, 'What the hell are you doing'. I don't think it was same little voice that would normally kick in if say doing something like this; shocked

LOL! You know you're serious when you optimize your gear in your sleep.

Survival tie? I love it.

If you can dream it, we can make it. The gauntlet has been thrown ...

If I have to wear a neck tie I'm not sure I want to survive ... Sigh.

Thank God for the move to more casual office attire!!

A folding tie-tack/bar firestarter.

A pocket at both ends of the tie, accessible from the wrong side.

The fake knot in a clip-on tie could be a container to hold stuff.

Maybe ... but there seems to be a move toward "dressing sharp" in a tough job environment. Many people are in a daily job interview as they do their daily jobs. So, any tie could be a survival tie.

(Hope that doesn't apply to you ETS-ers; for us, a survival tie should have a suitable Bond, James Bond quotient -- if you need to exit, do it with panache.)

I think you could sore a few things in a neck tie, even a knife. The extra weight will help is stay in place as well!

Old News. Cold Steel has been illustrating their site with one of their plastic spikes inside a tie for years.
