Does anyone know of a source for the 3-pint drinking water storage bag (bladder) used by military for survival kits?

have you tried some of your local surplus stores? I can tell you that you would probaly be better off just finding a civilian model, as I am sure the quality will be better.

Are you looking for a 3-pint or 3-liter bladder?

If you are looking for 3-liter bladder, I found a 3-liter Israeli Air Force survival water flask in a Somer-Tec catalog. Their website is http://www.shomer-tec.com.

If a 5-quart bladder is more to your liking, I'd recommend Brigade Quartermasters. Their website address is http://www.actiongear.com/

Hey TackDriver303,
Your Shomer-Tec URL contains a trailing period, like this:
http://www.shomer-tec.com./
Try this one without it:
http://www.shomer-tec.com/.
Stay safe,
J.T.

At the bottom of the information for the Isreali Air Force Survival Water Flask, it says "Water not included". <img src="images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

I have some of these, unissued. To be honest, I've forgotten how many- I bought all that the dealer had, and I sold at least a couple since, to someone on this forum.

I can't honestly recommend them. They're thick and seem sturdy, but the roll-top closure doesn't really seal that well, and if left on a surface or packed with pressure on them, they always seem to form a slow drip. They're fine so long as they're hanging somewhere. They don't stand up, so it's awkward to keep them from leaking. They have some snow-white webbing on them with snaps, and they sort of look and feel like they were probably made under contract by the manufacturers of IV bags.

For those intrigued by military weirdness, I can see why they'd have some appeal, but for pure practical use the commercial alternatives seem much more reliable.
