I was looking at the kits at Emergency survival kits for business or personal use

The Personal Evacuation Kits do not include a knife. Not a folder or anything. What's up with that?

Looking at it as a user I have to ask" will it do the job?" It looks like a minimalist kit to help get you out, keep you warm,hydrated and able to signal either trapped in or once out. Even inexpensive knives can break the retail price one hopes to target. By inexpensive I think of, and use Moras. Doug recently edited the "Sharps" article to reflect their popularity and retail source. Retail I can buy all I want ( or Ragnar will allow me) for $9ea + 5$S/H. Thats direct from the North American distrubutor. So add $9 to that kit and see what happens. I think I see a CRKW folder in other kits. Most comprehensive kits have utter junk , if anything for a knife. It looks like most decent kits; acceptable quality and room to add more or better items.
