My daughter wants us to leave cookies for Santa. I'm going to leave them on a tray by the tree, uneaten, with a note that says,

You didn't label these for nut and gluten content, are you trying to kill me?

- Santa

And leave the kid thinking santa hates her. good thinking; tell her there's a monster under her bed as well to really screw her up.

After eating the cookies, my wife insisted on leaving the plate out so the kids would see it. She swore to me that the dog wouldn't eat the remaining cookies and crumbs.

She was wrong.

There are no monsters under the bed. They live in the closet. Everyone knows that. Tsk tsk.

And the cats have taken to hiding the smaller presents under the couch, as well as stealing the balls off the tree and hiding them.

My monsters were under the bed. I could hit the bed in a single bound from half-way across the room.

My sister's were in the closet. At least, they were after the night I hid in her closet . . . .

Back on topic: Mom told us Santa preferred coconut macaroons. It wasn't until many years after we stopped believing in a literal Santa that I made the connection: Mom liked coconut macaroons, too.

I can still remember sneaking down the hall early to find uneaten cookies and presents under the tree. I could not reconcile the two and my parents did not understand why I was upset all day!

Understood the humor behind it....ROFLMAO...........

Me....Not only are cookies left and eaten (with crumbs left behind)....my son decided that we needed to leave something for the reindeer.... so there are pieces of carrots left on the plate too..... he loved the note left by Santa that thanked him for being the first to remember them.... That was a masterscard commercial.....priceless.

Sorry Martin I thought you were making a joke at your daughters expense. Glad you aren't really doing it.
