I have this radio since May or so and I must say that I'm a bit disapointed when it comes to UHF reception (maybe because of the city and tall buildings). It's very thready and weak and speaker output doesn't provide enough power (UHF). On the other hand AM, FM, Weather reception is great, battery life is amazing, and radio is build very well. I'm selling this radio if anyone is interested it also has been modified for wider frequency use. I never used it for HAM purpose. I replaced this radio with dedicated UHF Vertex VX-800. Now I just need to get me self a portable FM/AM radio.
