Correction - I could pull 5 flashlights from my car, I forgot the two I have in my Red Cross Go Bag. Plus one Doug Ritter headlamp in there too, and one generally in my coat pocket. That's 7 lights in or near my car - I need serious help...

Keeping a reliable light really has become easier with advances in technology - I really like the solar powered flashlight that aloha turned us on to, those sit in my glove compartment and one in the passenger door side pocket, neither with any ill effect (they hold their charges a long time). I rotated the batteries on my AA flashlights with the change to daylight savings, and checked the solar powered for charging status (if low, just leave them on the seat for a day or two). I gotta say I like the solar charging approach more than batteries. Good stuff.
