That's chilly!

Do you have a MR Heater big Buddy to heat it up quick ??? Due to sq/ft it must heat up quick I'd imagine but 46 and probably damp is a bit chilling!

0442. Electric heater and shore power keeps temperature in the boat reasonable. It has been raining steadily and the same old pesky very minor leaks are visiting. Cabin temp is 59 yoward the top and 51 near the bottom; in a suit of sweats it is comfortable enough - and I could crank the heater up if I wanted to be warmer. This is the place I want to be right now.

Power went out las tnight at midnight here, still out, and almost 2' on the ground.

Time to see if I got better prepared this go-around. I did bring home 20g of gas last night

Woke up, got on phone to check in down the hill with the folks to find out about weather and power... while on the phone my tarp shed with steel frame COLLAPSED under the snow load, apparnetly not up to the task ;( Luckily my quad was in the garage, but I may lose a few hundred worth of ply wood if it leaks much, I investigated it was holding up nad I could almost walk in the collapsed area. I mention this because if my quad had been in there I coul dhave been w.out good transportation in the weather, also I lost 5g of gas in the snow under there, i was able to rescue 5g though, and the other 20g is in my truck bed still.

Brought in wood last night enough for today, cleared path to shed... new shed is to airy, modify when weather allows.

Accuweather medium term forecast

The medium term weather forecast for the last two weeks in December/early January for central and eastern CONUS is being predicted to be as bad the Winter of 1970 in January. (when the all the talk was about the approaching ice age )
The result of the recent economic recession perhaps with the world wide CO2 output dropping by 5-8% in the last 12 months.

It might be prudent to have some alternative forms of heating and cooking i.e. LPG bottles and plenty of candles to get ready for the approaching winter storms especially with the state of the energy infrastructure distribution systems due to the lack of investment.

No doubt the computer hacker in Ulan Bator will get the blame.

0955. 35 degrees and light rain. Sailboat cabin dry, top temp is 65, and near floor/deck temp is 57. I'm staying inside for a while!

And now my Ford F250 4WD with 35" tires is broken in its tracks in my driveway... attempting to rescue a neighbor (and get out of my driveway) I snapped a front U-Joint. I think I have a spare in my garage but I`m i nhte midsts of omving sutff here from my old place and it's all boxed... snow to my truck doors doesn't help get under and investigate either!!!!!!!

Time to take a hammer to the ATV Plow mount nad see if I cna get her working.

That stinks. A ring and pinion job is hard enough in the shop, much less in the snow...

I`ll be removing the driveshaft, and driving to town once the snow clears and get it done down there. Gonna try to warranty it.
