A good "multifunction tool" for a PSK or EDC is a Pocket Survival Tool. i bought mine at IMS Plus for $3. Its functions include...Knife, Cap Opener, Can Opener, Saw Edge, 4 Position Wrench, 2 Position Wrench, Wing/Butterfly Nut Wrench,Ruler, Screwdriver, Directoin Ancillary Indicator, and Lanyard Hole <-- not a function, but its listed!!

I have one, somewhere. In storage.
Things I found: -The knife isn't very sharp, and very hard to make truely sharp. -Using most of the tools will give you plenty of chances to find out how sharp it is or isn't.
Now, mine isn't so fancy, didn't have the "direction finder" thing on it. How does it work? Have you tried it?

These things have been around since the 1980's. To my certain knowledge. Avoid. They are not worth the $3. Only card tools worth considering are the Tool Logic, Wenger or Swiss Card. Of the three I would pick the Tool Logic.

the direction indicator thingy is pretty accurate but too small to read easily.

OK, so how does it work?
I'm honestly curious. It looks like you would need to know North already. With a watch, many of us can find north, and then you just need left and right.

I am highly skeptical of all-in-one items like this. Most often, they do nothing well, or nothing at all. Fun to play with, and that's fine of course; but test them in a serious way before you rely on them.
