I love TT's stuff. I usually go there & buy stuff on my annual visit to my brother. This stuff is rugged, and real-world tested. You cant go wrong with them.

I would tend to agree with what Pete wrote but if you're simply wanting some personal recommendations, I've got 2 Camelbak "BFM" rucksacks. Both in desert camo. I use one as a Ham radio bag when I do volunteer work and the other is a dedicated first aid/trauma bag that I use on remote locations while working.

Hard to beat in quality for the price, I got em both off of ebay brand new from private sellers for around $100 each.

They come with a very nice hydration bag/hose system. Might be a little large at 2500 cubic inches/ 42 liters of capacity for a carry on bag.

I live in Israel and finding a "good survival store" is, unfortunately, not an option for me.

We do have "camping / outdoors" stores but the choice is fairly limited.

I've got a Camelbak BFM which I use for camping/outdoor trips/travel. I usually take out the waist belt while travelling as it adds bulk and makes it difficult to get into overhead bins on planes.

Try the Becker Patrol Pack. No personal experience with this one but always hear and read good stuff about them. Maybe someone else on the forum has personal experience and recommendations on this one.

I carried a BPP for a LONG time - my only downsides - 1)They really don't fit large looseleaf binders - the ones that are like 2" wider than the paper, and a lot of laptops don't fir well, otherwise, I love it
