A while ago I was shopping for a 4" fixed blade to be part of my outdoor kit.
My budget was in the range of $100 or so.
Actually, I was trying to justify the price of a RAT RC-4, but couldn't quite get there.

I like to shop Canadian when I can, so checked out the Grohmann Knives website.
I have other Grohmann knives & like 'em.
On their clearance page was a 4" "Outdoor" model for sale 1/2 price - only $30 Canadian!
Seemed like fate so I ordered one.
OK, actually I ordered four.

They arrived a few weeks ago.
These are factory seconds - no warranty.
Other than the 'S' stamped into the blade, I can't see any blemish on any of the knives. YMMV
The leather on the sheaths is slightly distressed, but doesn't interfere with function.
The handle is a bit fatter than I would usually like, but not a problem.
Built for comfort more than speed, as we used to say...

Haven't really used it much yet, but seems that it will do what it's supposed to.
They look so nice that my wife promptly scooped one as a gift for her father.

No affiliation with the company, etc.

LOL.

That's so me. For instance, I have five of Doug's RSK MK-5 knives.

Thought I'd give a couple as gifts. But I can't be sure the recipients would appreciate the significance so I'm keeping them all and spreading them around various bags.

:-)

dagny..you did real fine.i have always thought of those as "real knives" the guy who designed those did a lot of thinking about what a knife was and the work it should do rather than brain storming a clever name for a junk knife..--AK 47--Tactical--Recon--Magnum--Ranger-Special Forces..

I concur, looks like a good, no nonsense piece of gear. Thanks for the heads up!
