I agree, it might help you have "closure" when they identify the body.

Someone posted a good idea - when you go somewhere with you kids (amusement park, etc.) take a photo of them at the start with the camera you're carrying anyway so that if they get lost you can show exactly what they look like that day in the same clothes, etc.
