My aunt just had a baby boy the other day! being a close knit family, we will see each other very very often, and we will obviously get together a lot. My question:

A) Howcan I introduce my cousin to the outdoors and emergency-preparedness concept without 1) Frightening him away from it and 2) making him think that I am completely crazy <img src="images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" />?

B) He is only a few days old. when should I start showing him the outdoor lifestyle?

I am one of the desinated babysitters (a roster has already been drawn up!). any tips on making a screaming infant shut up? I must admitt that I don't like young children very much (I can already picture some people gasping in disbelief as they read this!), but I am really excited about the near future!
