I was just watching the BBC report on the heat wave. Then on CNN it was the early and violent start of the hurricane,tornado,storm season on our east coast. Global weather change is a "hot" subject of cause and duration. I see no debate when individuals are harmed. All you folks in Europe take care. Your the point men in a column of unprepared countrymen. Then again,if it continues England will give France and California a worry once more in the wine industry. <img src="images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />

I have heard that in a wine-producing area here in France, they will start the grape harvest next week !! A month earlier than normally !!

Grape is ripe !
Should give good wines.....

Was it not too long ago that the French vines had taken ill with some fungus and that cuttings from the Napa Valley in California saved the industry ? I had heard this story on the "Wine Train" while visiting Napa. Its a wonder how well plants adapt, nine months with no rain... until one night I felt rain drops on my tent, going outside to look, I found out it was heavy condensation from the trees collecting airborne fog....
