Good meeting today with local CERT volunteer coordinator, that segued into a meeting that included the chief and deputy chief of our class 1 fire department. I am now signed up for a free CPR, first aid, AED class October 17 through the department and American Heart Association [2 year certifications versus Red Cross 1 year]. Soon I will be helping research and write a brochure on disaster preparedness for pets. Through the Animal Friends where I already volunteer, I will get at least the basic 20-hour CERT training. And on from there!
