Thanks for replying. Yeah, the wire saws are kinda junky, and I'm well aware of their limitations. I'll use them carefully, and expect them to fail quickly. But I tried to get the best quality I could, and they take little space and add little weight. Also note the substantially more robust saw in the top row in the photo.

My purpose in posting was to solicit comments, suggestions and questions, and to stimulate discussion. Please don't ever hesitate to share your thoughts on any of my posts.
