When I was a dive instructor they are all I ever carried (get a lanyard or you will lose them) they rust eventually but after the first set with the holster you can buy replacements anywhere. They are also called paramedic shears - or penny cutters at your local hardware store.

You get a few comments from the big knife - small **** community. They ask you how you are going to fight off a shark with them - then you ask how they are going to cut the wet suit off an accident victim with their rambo knife.
