Has anyone heard anything about a new book by Laurence Gonzales called Deep Survival? I stumbled on the website yesterday and thought it looked like it could be pretty interesting.

It does look pretty interesting. From the synopsis and chapter previews I'd guess that it addresses many of the issues that we've recently had threads about, i.e. "what is survival?", Aron Ralston, Chris McCandles, "how do you define yourself?", etc. I'll probably pick up a copy when it's released in October
