So, I've been using this site - www.propertyroom.com - which sells stuff that cops and other law enforcement agencies get from drug busts, raids and so forth. Before I posted here, I actually did a few auctions with them. Stick to "shippable stuff" unless you live near one of their pickup locations and the deals can be incredible.

I got a Linksys WTR54g Wifi router for $11 - new in box. They have tools - oh so many tools, gun cases, rifle scopes, clothing, jewelry (too much, but my wife likes it).

They have oddball lots and cheap laptops and PA Systems and stuff that simply must be seen to be appreciated.

As usual, I have no commercial interest in this operation, I have used them without problems. You are not buying from individuals - you need a credit card to register and then bill you when you win - no muss no fuss.

Top Gear recently did one of their wacky challenges in which they pitched a rather nice high-end sports car against an assortment of modern army vehicles, fully armed. They ended up trashing it with some serious munitions. It turned out the car had been seized from a drug-dealer and the court had ordered it to be destroyed.

I know some of the guys that took part in that episode, very staged but good stuff. They had a great time.

Is there a youtube video, I must have missed that one.

One of the best Top Gear episodes was when they converted a Reliant Robin into a reusable space shuttle launcher to relaunch the British Space Program.
