Just a thought but I would advise against storing anything really important in your hat. In my experience, hats are lost more frequently than any other piece of hiking gear. So while it might work as a yet another backup I wouldn't personally rely on any last-ditch kit stored in my hat.
I don't. I have a Bison capsule with the same cash and info' sheet on my neck rig with my RAT Izula, and a 3rd one on my keyring.
(The little flashlight is held on with one of those magnetic jewelry connectors, so it can be removed when I need just a light)
Credit card's and money is an interesting idea, but I'm more concerned about staying warm and having safe water to drink.
This rig and hat are more for just walking around town everyday, not outdoors stuff. I'm working on something like yours for my other Tilley that is more geared to fishing and hunting.
Years ago when I used to fight forest fires I carried a large plastic sealed pressure bandage and a bic lighter taped to the inside of my helmet above the suspension carrier.

If the presence of the items in the hat present a problem with them being felt or extra bumpy then I would suggest adding another thin layer of foam to the hat. I generally keep a comb and a Fresnel lens in my everyday T6 Tilley. I also have a T3 that I find more appropriate for camping.
