Searching the web for equipment I started looking into what sorts of barrier and surgical masks are available. IMHO it often pays to find out what's out there as it makes selecting what you need easier.

Of course, sometimes I find things I will not be adding to my kit. Products that are simply inappropriate if your intention is to instilling a sense of calm and professionalism. On the other hand if your into wearing masks that scare the living hell out of people these might work:

Quite frankly if my dentist showed up wearing one of those I would be gone. I can only imagine what the effect might be during a major emergency.

The Loony-tune surgical masks struck me as just slightly less effective in inducing terror and unease as the baby doll masks worn by "information retrieval" in the movie "Brazil".



Brazil is still one of my favorite film even though it is quite depressing and anxiety inducing with its all-encompassing bureaucracy gone wrong.
