Does anyone have the link to the mega-keychain? I accidentally wiped out the link. I think hthom may have posted it originally. Thanks in advance. Joe

Mega Keychain? Sounds interesting. I have a Squirt P4 and Photon Micro light on my keys....but I carry so blasted many keys that that's about all the extra gear I can comfortably carry on it! <img src="images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

After a long absence, it is nice to know that I was remembered as the original poster about and creator of the MEGA-KEYCHAIN. LOL
My working environment has changed since that post, and I am now usually dressed in business attire, thus the keychain is a little too bulky for carry in slacks.
BUT, I still have the keychain. It is not in the exact same configuration as it was at the time of that post, as I have taken a couple of items and created a smaller, more discreet keychain that I now carry daily. The rest of the intact keychain is always with me though in a little travel pouch that I usually have no further than 100 ft. from me at ANY time.
If anyone has any questions about it after reading the link, just ask. I really had a great time putting the thing together.

Thanks for the replies. Hthom, good ideas never die, they just wind up somewhere in the archives!

Welcome back, hthomp. Long time no see.
I tried emailing you at your yahoo account, but never got anywhere, so I'm glad you're back.
I would still LOVE to see a picture of your Mega-Keychain. Any chance of that happening?

It lives on as a smaller, modified version nowdays. Mostly that is due to the fact that I wear dress-type trousers, and the MEGA, as it existed, was just too bulky to carry. Of course, I still have all of the components tucked here and there in various pouches, bag, etc.

Being the gear junkie I am, would you mind itemizing the stuff you carry on your now-slimmed-down keychain?
Also, since I'm always looking for better ways to convey gear, what makes/models of pouches and bags do you carry?

Craig, I'm getting a digital camera for my birthday next week, and hopefully I can post some pictures of my hthomp-inspired keychain.

My current rig is: Leatherman Squirt, P38, Omega-Pacific whistle, Maq solitaire, Swiss-Tech Micro Tech, Flint-Key, Small vial from survivalkeychain.com full of Sparklite tinders, Dogtag with my contact info, and finally....keys. www.survivalkeychain.com has some similar layouts to what I am currently carrying, plus they are a good source for gear junkies!
