Gotten real quiet here (and in the other sections)

What's up?

I've been following the helicopter/small plane midair over the North river (Most folks would, and do call it the Hudson)

I've noticed that too.

I`m thinking back to school for a lot of parents.

The Hudson incident is one of those "anything for a buck" problems that the FAA needs to step in and resolve.

As for the private airports, people need to realize that money still doesn't equal immortality.

I moderate on a few boards, and I see this on those boards too. I think many are trying to get some juice out of what is left of Summer.

August is vacation month, especially for those with European connections.

As for the airplane/helicopter crash, unmonitored airports are not at all uncommon. The NTSB will investigate but it's unlikely they will ever know why the airplane pilot didn't see the helicopter unless he was flying directly into the sun for some reason.

I'll second the thoughts of NightHiker, but I enjoy hearing that area called the North River. That's what it is called most often by those who work on it.

Its summertime. It quit raining here for a few days so I've actually been able to get outside so I'm behind on posts.
Loaded our "new" camper for a test run and spent a couple days driving around, family reunion and stayed in a cabin.
