Hey! what's wrong with having booze in your kits? I have a gallon of whiskey and brandy in my long term car bug out kit. And a liter of brandy in my short term kit. All in plastic bottles.

If it was good enough to be considered a ration at sea between 1500-1900, it sure as heck can be considered a ration in my emergency kit.
