There are toy trucks that are big enough, my son had a toy John Deere Gator that my parents bouht him for his third birthday. Its big enough for me to ride, I was offered $10 to ride it to work.

And it sounds like they even recovered his truck.

Why do I think that is one toy he won't be allowed to play with for a while. frown Kid is lucky to have survived, I hope his parent's don't kill his sense of exploration by over reacting.
