From your earlier post, I presume you are active or reserve in the Corps. Give your supply Sgt. the NSN number, and be REEEEEEAL nice to him (her). The ECOTAT is in the supply system.

I have a First Generation ECOTAT (the heavier Gortex version) which I got off e-Bay for a bit less than $100.00. If your eyes gloss over at kit with a high "gadget factor", an ECOTAT is for you. Yes, it will do all that it claims. But it does take some fiddling and experimentation to get the hang of it. Do that prior to going the field, or you will look very silly. Overall, its a good bit of kit. Toss in a poncho liner or LW sleeping bag in your patrol pack, and you're set to go "combat light".
