I thought about using them (or one of them) for cooking. They're very cheap, i'm not sure about the weight though, haven't had a chance to handle them. For cooking at the moment I use standard British army mess tins and a plastic spoon with holes drilled in the handle. I'm trying to keep it as lightweight as possible. The british mess tin is suprisingly heavy and i'm looking for an alternative. Titanium is way to expensive and not readily available in britain. I'm thinking about using a cheap saucepan that costs about £1 and taking the handle off. It might be lighter than a mess tin <img src="images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" />. Worth a try anyway for that price.
