I didn't realize that the US provided the constellation of GPS satellites for the world with no compensation from any other countries. If we had a few other nations kick in some money, it might be easier for US Air Force to get thru the next generation modernization they talked about. I'm sure funding for anything is tight in the services now. I have to assume that virtually every country benefits from GPS at this point, certainly all of the maritime nations.
